I got up today because I wanted to see what my two new furry critters were up to.
Several days ago I adopted two dwarf hamsters. My sister and I named them "Chip and Dale" and they are sooooo cute. They are nocturnal mammals and so, while I am on morning shift, I get up to put fresh food in their cage. They are just beginning to get used to "the big hand," aka Me. They know "the big hand" brings food. This morning, they were both up on their food perch waiting for the good stuff. Pink noses twitching, they let me put carrot and apple shreds near the hamster chow.
Maybe tonight they will take the food from my hand. Life is sometimes simple/good.

Chip and Dale are so cute, as my sister has said. And because they are nocturnal I rarely see them until Debbi gets home and we are settled in for some excellent tv viewing. We laugh and laugh some more as they go through their antics of running on "The Wheel". They have actually figured out how to run tandem on the wheel. Sometimes one falls off but it's no big deal and they get right back on. What fun!
